Celebrating With Twinkies! - Part 2

That is right people.
This blogg is now three years young!
I do not know how it happened, but it happened.
I know that the amount of posts have been pretty scarce.
But I promise to make it up to you during the rest of the year.
And what a time we have left of the year, first the Halloween season.
And then the Christmas season.

But enough blabbering.
I am here to talk to you about Twinkies.
"But wait! Did you not talk about Twinkies at your first anniversary?" - You say.
Why yes, thank you for remembering.
A lot has happened since last time.
Hostess defaulted and then was reborn.
And lovers of Twinkies everywhere rejoiced.
They are calling it the "Sweetest Comeback In The History Of Ever".
And another thing... These are not your regular Twinkies.
These have a banana cream filling.

First let me talk about the box.
The box is... Wait, What?
Where is Twinkie the Kid?
Did they get rid of him?
Now the box just looks a bit tacky.
It is very random, but at least there are bananas flying around.

The Twinkies looks just like regular Twinkies.
But they have a nice smell of ripe bananas.
Which is a favorite smell of mine.
They taste as they should taste, unhealthy.
The banana flavour is not that prominent, but it is there.

And that is all I have to say today.
I sincereley hope there are people still reading this blogg.
If there are, please give me a comment or something :)

Pringles Xtreme Screamin' Dill Pickle

I need to get my snack on.
Unfortunately, I only have weird snacks at home.
Like these... Pringles with Screamin' Dill Pickle flavor.
But you gotta snack on what you gotta snack on.
And I like pickles, so lets try them.

The packaging is amazing.
There is like pickles flying everywhere.
It is like an pickle aerial assault on my mouth waiting to happen.
I noticed that they are on the strong side of the flavoring scale.
And that worries me a bit, because I am not that fond of spicy food.

The smell is a combination of dill and vinegar.
And I... Well I like it alot.
It is acctually a great smell.
It lingers in your nose and almost makes you sneeze.
And it made me more worried about the flavor.
But, yeah, the flavor is very nice.
It is not as pronounced as the smell.
It really tastes like dilled pickles.
There is a faint aftertaste of vinegar but that is ok.
I like these.

Reese's Puffs Cereal

*Yaaaawn*
What? Have I been asleep for the whole summer?
This calls for breakfast. I am hungry!
I really dig Reese's peanut butter products.
And this cereal just sounds epic.

The cereal is as you can see based on the candy from Hershey's/Reese's.
With separated puffs with the flavour of Hershey's cocoa and Reese's peanut butter.
The packaging is very much Reese's.
With its orange and yellow colours and that great logo.
And on the back they make you into a DJ!
What? I do not understand this... Their directions suck.
I decided to create my own name instead.
Grand Master Candy Funk!

Time to rap!
"That peanut butter chocolate I must possess"
"Is the hookup that I flavor that I must possess"
"Reese's Puffs, Reese's Puffs, in your bowl, in your bowl!"

"Recognize the taste that I flavour"
"Reese's Puffs Reese's Puffs,"
"Wow peanut butter flavor!"

"So crucial to my cereal vernacular"
"That peanut butter hookup is oh so spectacular!"
"Reese's Puffs, Reese's Puffs!"

"My Reese's Puffs are totally radical"
"Each peanut butter orb is totally radical"
Reese's Puffs, Reese's Puffs, in your bowl, in your bowl!"

Yeah!

Ok, time for breakfast.
Carefully pour the cereal into a bowl and fill it up with milk.
There is definitely a smell of peanut butter.
I do not know if it is Reese's peanut butter, but I will take it.
There is not that much taste at first, kind of disappointed.
But, after a while, there is a nice after taste of peanut butter.
They were far from perfect, but they were still pretty epic.

Mission Brasil Football Chicken Nuggets

As most of the world know, the football world cup has been going on the last couple of weeks.
I am not a hardcore fan, but I do enjoy watching a match or two.
And I thought to myself, who can I incorporate the world cup into this blog.
And then I found them, football chicken nuggets.

Just look at that package. Those small football dudes look so cool.
And the fact that they are using a cherry tomato as a ball is cute.
I knew I had to write about them.

The package is pretty amazing. Pretty good for low-budget chicken nuggets.
It kinda screams of football and samba.
With this kind of packaging, I was sure in for a treat.

But lo and behold, I was very dissapointed.
Only one football dude in the whole package!
Ok, there are nine world cup trophies, making me the ultimate winner.
But still, I wanted football dudes I could pose for the camera.

The nuggets are your standard chicken nuggets.
They smell and taste just like chicken nuggets.

Germany won! Yey!

Giant Star Wars Lightsaber Pockys

Today is May the 4th and that means it is International Star Wars Day.
A day for all fans and nerds to celebrate the behemoth that is Star Wars.
Because I am a huge Star Wars nerd, I to have to celebrate this day.

And that means, candy... Star Wars candy.
Pocky is a very popular candy in Japan.
It is basically a biscuit stick with flavour or covered in something with flavour.
These giant lightsaber *woosh* Pockys are an official team-up with Lucasarts.
No shortcuts here.

There are two kinds of packages, one featuring the evil dark lord Darth Vader.
And one featuring the good, but whiny, jedi Luke Skywalker.
Both boxes are really awesome, but of course I like the Vader one best.
It is so sinister (yes, I should save this for "Revenge of The 5th", but I just can not help it).
Each box contains six lightsabers in three colours and flavours.
The green saber is green tea flavoured, the blue grape flavoured.
And the red (pink?), strawberry flavoured.
We all know Darth loves his strawberries.

The green one actually has a smell of tea. It is very faint but it is there. Like a tremor in the force.
The taste is a bit more strong, like really sweet green tea.
The blue one smells a lot of grape. Chemical grape. To much if you ask me.
It tastes a bit like grape, I guess. It has a kind of weird flavour.
Last but not least, the red evil lightsaber has a smell of sweet strawberries.
And a taste of even sweeter strawberries. Of the three, I like this one the most.

That is all from me today. I am gonna go watch Star Wars.
May the 4th be with you!

Cadbury Dairy Milk Egg 'n' Spoon

There has not been much happening on this blog for a while.
But that is because I have been out hunting.
Hunting for eggs... Easter eggs to be precise.
And I finally found some worthy of this blog.

You see, they have to be special.
And these are pretty special.
Egg 'n' Spoon from Cadbury is on the menu today.
They come in, what at first, looks like a regular egg carton.
But this is a special easter egg carton, containing golden chocolate eggs.

The idea is that you peel the golden layer of.
Then bite the top of and eat the mousse content with a spoon.
How do you get a spoon that small you ask?
Well, a neat little plastic spoon is provided in the carton.
Actually, there are two of them.
Something I did not discover at first.
That means the eggs are great for sharing, if you are into that.

There are two flavours available:
Milk chocolate mousse and white chocolate mousse.
I chose the latter, because it was the most tempting.
There are four eggs in the carton.
The milk chocolate egg shell smells and tastes regular milk chocolate.
It is when you start eating the mousse with the small spoon that the magic happens.
The mousse is very fluffy and sweet and I enjoyed it very much.

I hope all of my readers have a happy easter and a pleasant weekend.

Fanta Ume

Fanta Japan... I just love how you are willing to try different flavours.
This time we have the Fanta Ume.
Ume is a Japanese plum and is supposedly inedible because it is very, very sour.
It is usually pickled or made into a juice or liqueur.
But here it is in the form of a carbonated soft drink.

The lable on the bottle is kind of simple for a Japanese soft drink.
But nevertheless, it shows the fruit and the green/yellow colour palette is nice.
It has a very sweet scent that is very plum like.
It is actually very pleasant and it makes my mouth water.
The flavour is also very sweet and has a nice tone of plum.
I think the flavour is perfectly balanced between the sweet and the fruity.
This is, so far, my favourite Fanta flavour.
