KitKat Pumpkin Pudding

I do not think I have ever eaten pumpkin pudding.
But there is a first for everything.
And now I get to do it in Japanese chocolate style.
Most people would not really be scared of a chocolate bar.
Much less a KitKat?



But, come on... Just look a that pumpkin on the bag.
He has created a kind of symbiosis with the chocolate.
And he is a really evil dude.
Those kids in the corner disappeared after I took the picture.
He ate them, right of the package.
His buddy, the "friendly" ghost, repainted the whole package black.
Inside the bag there are different small packages of KitKat.
All depicting kids with different Halloween costumes.



The chocolate is milk chocolate based.
It does not really smell like anything but chocolate.
Come to think of it, what does pumpkin in chocolate smell like?
I do know what pumpkin should taste like, and it is nothing like this.
The coconut flavor is overwhelming.
Maybe it was not coconut?
Maybe it was poison?
Damn you evil pumpkin!
And your ghost to!

Whoppers Strawberry Milkshake

I have written about Whoppers before.
Almost a year ago acctually.
Back then, they were peanut butter flavoured [Reese's Whoppers Peanut Butter].
But this time, they are strawberry milkshake flavoured.

I really like the box. There is lots going on.
From the pink milkshake color to the Whoppers font.
Also, it shows perfectly what you are getting yourself into.
Malt balls, pink, strawberries and milkshake, all combined into one.



The balls have no particular smell, at least I can not detect it.
Which is a shame because strawberry milkshake smells terrific.
At least if it is done right.

The balls are pretty chewy and a bit crispy in the middle.
There is a taste of strawberries and a taste of milk.
But it is very chemical and kind of faint.
Although the taste is still kind of nice, I would not call it "milkshaky".

Wonka SweetTarts Merry Mix

At first I was not gonna write about this package.
It is supposed to be a christmas version of the popular candy from Wonka (Nestlé).
But it is kind of bland.
Sure, they have added the name "Merry Mix" and some snowflakes.



The box also states that Wonka himself sends us his greetings.
But Wonka is a man of taste, of style.
He would not stand for such an easy "fix".



No, the merry part comes when you open the box and get a look at the candy.
The candy comes in two colors, christmasy red and green.
And also in different variations.
There are snow men, christmas trees and bells.
And they are pretty merry.



There is no change in the flavor of the candy.
It is still pretty sour and it does not smell like anything in particular.

Yorkie Raisins And Biscuits

First created in 1976 Eric Nicoli, the Yorkie is aimed at men.
Which you can see by their slogan, "It's not for girls!".
This has gotten people with to much time on their hands something to do, calling a choclate bar sexist.
Come on people, it's a gimmick.

The Yorkie is available in a range of different flavours, but this particular one is raisins and biscuits.
It has a smell of regular milk chocolate.
Tastes like it to, kind of like Toblerone.
I've tasted the plain version of the Yorkie as well, and it's kind of plain and boring.
This one is a lot better. The raisins give it flavour and the biscuits make it chunkier.
The packaging is kind of cool, with the O replaced by a no-girls-allowed-sign, enhancing their slogan.

And yes, I shared this with a girl...

Reese's Whoppers Peanut Butter

Whoppers are like Maltesers, malted milk balls.
First introduced by Overland Candy Company in 1939, but under then name Giants.
They didn't get their signature name until 1947.
Available in several flavours and today I'll be testing the Peanut Butter version.
Opening the package gives you a faint scent of peanut butter.
You can almost not smell it, but it's there.

They are very crispy and it's fun to crush them with your teeth.
The peanut butter taste is there.
It's kind of subtle but that's still nice.
I liked them and I shared them with others that also liked them.
I you can get your hands on a package, I would recommend that you try them.

KitKat Royal Milk Tea

Royal Milk Tea is the Japanese version of the British tea.
It is basically tea (hot or cold) with loads of sugar and milk.
Despite it pretending to be British, it has nothing to do with British tea.
It is totally a Japanese invention and is, from what I've heard, supersweet.
Enough to give you sugar disease?

Well, anyway... This is KitKats version of the beverage.
Not having tasted actual Royal Milk Tea from Japan, I can't really judge if it is similar or not.
But I can still give you my verdict about it.

It's based on white chocolate and on opening the bag, it smells a lot like tea.
Does it taste like tea? Yes, it has a faint taste of tea hiding in a mix of sweetness.
Yes, it's very sweet. Almost to much.
But, it's a fun combination that lingers in your mouth for a while.

Aero Hot Chocolate Drink Minty

I've written about Aero chocolate twice before.
The regular bubbly chocolate and a christmas version with mint flavour.
And now I get to taste it as a drink. My life is now complete (well... not really).
The package contains four bags of hot choclatey powder goodness.
Perfect if you have friends over or if you are greedy.



You're supposed to put the powder in a mug and add boiling water to really see the air bubbles forming.
I tried this together with a dear friend and we both tought the powder had a faint minty smell.
I was the only one brave enough to taste the powder and it tastes kind of like Aero chocolate.



Adding the water made it even better. The room was filled with a minty smell.
And as you can see in the picture, the water really creates great chocolate air bubbles.
We both enjoyed this beverage, filled with a chocolate and minty flavour.
Kind of refreshing, which is weird because the chocolate has quite a heavy texture.
It feels like the drink melts in your mouth and after youre done you are left with a great minty aftertaste.
Oh... And I must mention the box artwork. It's quite lovely.
Also, my Manny Calavera mug is so awesome!

KitKat Citrus

This KitKat is a regional limited edition from Shikoku, Japan.
It's flavoured not only with orange, but also with lemon and lime.
Upon opening the package, there's an incredible scent of citrus fruits.
Almost like the scent you get from cleaning products.
It sounds weird, I know. But it's more pleasant than it soundas.



It's based on white chocolate coloured orange (yey!).
The taste is very pleasant, lots of citrus flavour.
Both fresh orange, sour lemon and sweet lime at the same time.
I like it. It's kinda refreshing and you almost forget that you're eating a choco bar.

KitKat Blueberry Cheesecake

More KitKat blueberry goodness! Or?
I liked the previos blueberry KitKat, but this one... Not so much.
It doesn't really smell like more than regular white chocolate.
Which is a bummer, because the blueberry one smelled a lot better.
The taste is also kind of strange, more white chocolate than cheesecake,
but more cheesecake than blueberry.
Still, it's not disgusting.

KitKat Blueberry

Blueberrys doesn't naturally grow in Japan and are therefore kind of rare and expensive to get hold of.
That's why these KitKat Blueberrys are very popular.
They are based on regular milk chocolate and have a faint blueberry scent.
They taste somewhat like blueberrys, but not quite.
Maybey it's because I'm spoiled with naturally grown blueberrys ;)
Still, they are pretty tasty.

KitKat Matcha Green Tea

Green tea Kitkats are popular in Japan.
I'm not sure what region this one comes from.
A white chocolate Kitkat coloured green (obviously).
It smells a lot like bar soap? Weird indeed.
This was sure to be an experience?
But, it doesn't really taste like green tea, at least I can't detect the flavour.
It still tastes ok though!

KitKat Hojicha Roasted Tea

Hojicha is tea flavored from roasted green tea leaves.
This is a very rare KitKat flavor that is only available in one small region of Japan!
Based on beige tea milk chocolate.
There's a distinct smell of black tea, not green which is weird.
My KitKat doesn't look very tasty, but it's only "temperature damage".
The taste... Well it's very strange. It tastes like eating tea leaves dipped in chocolate.
But, of course it doesn't feel like it, because there are no tea leaves in the chocolate.
Only waffers. It's not bad, just strange.

KitKat Miso

Miso is a soy bean paste. This is a white chocolate KitKat with chocolate miso flavoured waffers.
It's very rare and I'm lucky to get a hold of one.
But unfortunatlly I was a bit dissapointed.
I just smells and tastes like white chocolate.
Nothing special. But the wrapper is what I was after anyways :)

KitKat Annin Dofu

Annin Dofu is a kind of Chinese almond pudding made with tofu. A popular desert in Japan.
This is KitKats version of this desert and it's kind of weird.
It's a KitKat based on white chocolate.
There's a really sweet and sour smell coming from the KitKat, I can't really place it.
It smells almost like Swedish rice porridge, very weird.
The taste is also a lot similar to Swedish rice porridge, but a lot sweeter.
All in all, it was a weird but pleasant experience.

Nestlé Aero Christmas Tree

Aero chocolate shaped lika a christmas tree? Oh, the jolly!
And it's green inside, lika a christmas tree. Oh, the merry!

I've writen about Aero before: Nestlé Aero.
Basically it's a chocolate bar filled with bubbles of air.
This is the peppermint version and it's so christmasy!



It smells minty and refreshing.
Minty bubble chocolate is so good. Soooo gooood.
Oh, sorry, lost it there for a while.
Buy this candy, even if it's the regular bar!

KitKat Pumpkin Cheesecake

Halloween har kommit och gått och jag testade detta för ett tag sedan.
Det är Japanska KitKats halloweenvariant, nämligen Pumpkin cheesecake.
Japanerna är helt galna i KitKat och det finns i massvis med smaker (som kanske dyker upp här).

Denna KitKat är baserad på vit choklad, vilket gör den ganska söt.
Det syns inte på de gryniga bilderna, men innehållet är lite mörkare än själva chokladen.

Det luktar inte så mycket pumpa måste jag säga, det luktar inget direkt alls faktiskt.
De smakar mest vit choklad, nästan inte ett uns av pumpsmak.
Hade höga förhoppningar om denna. En liten besvikelse faktiskt :(

Nestlé Aero

Aero är en choklad från Nestle med "luftbubblor" i. Den började säljas redan 1935. En chokladkaka innehåller 232 kalorier, jag gissar att luftbubblorna inte riktigt gör sitt ;)

Dess ingredienser är följande: Socker, skummjölkspulver, kakaomassa, kakaosmör, vassla pulver, vegetabiliskt fett, laktos, emulgeringsmedel, lecitin, diverse aromer.

Chokladkakan luktar väldigt mycket som Marabou mjölkchoklad fast mörkare. Detta är även sant i smaken, det är inte lika mycket "fettsmak" utan mer kakao.

Själva idén med bubblor i chokladen och att de tryckt loggan längst med bitarna är kul, men denna chokladen tilltalar inte riktigt mig. Man får ingen jättestor mättnadskänsla vilket dock är bra.
