Sia Pepparkaka [Limited Edition]

Let us start this Christmas season with something chilly (get it?).
Ice cream is maybe something you would not normally associate with Christmas.
But this is special extra jolly Christmas ice cream.
This is gingerbread flavored ice cream.
The Santas at Sia Glass (glass = ice cream) has been very nice to us.
As far as I know, I have never seen or heard of gingerbread ice cream before.



The ice cream itself is actually gingerbread flavored.
And it also has bits of gingerbread for added merriment.
It is partially gingerbread colored, which is a shame.
I would have wanted it to be darker.
But one present is better than zero presents.



The package is kind of basic. But all packages of Sia ice cream is like this.
A white box with the Sia logo and the product in the middle.
Not that merry or jolly but it will do.
It has a nice smell of gingerbread.
It actually makes the room smell a bit and that is a first for ice cream.

This is good, so good. The flavor is so good!
Who would have thought that an ice cream flavored with gingerbread would be this good.
It is sweet and does not have that burnt flavor you sometimes get from gingerbread.
I hope they bring this one back.

Oreo Soft Cookies Lemon Ice Cream

I love the fact that someone came up with the idea of combining Oreo cookies and ice cream.
I've written about ice cream Oreos before: Oreo Green Tea Ice Cream.
Those had expired and didn't really taste anything.
Let's see if these taste better shall we?



Oreos generally comes in a hard cookie type but there are also soft cookie versions available.
This is one of the latter, with two soft cookies and lemon ice cream cream in the middle.



The texture of the soft cookies, is of course, more chewy than the hard ones.
They actually smell like lemon ice cream, maybey a bit chemical.
They taste lemony, but not really like lemon ice cream.
It's more like lemon water or something like it.
Still the taste is good, but the aftertaste... Not as good.
It tastes like lemon cough drops and is pretty disgusting.
It also lingers in your mouth (troath) for a long time after you've eaten the cookies.



The packaging is pretty nice, not that special... But still nice.
So, points for scent and just trying a combination of cookies and ice cream, but not for taste.

Oreo Green Tea Ice Cream

Ok, this is gonna be a weird one...
Unfortunately, these have passed their date of expiry (by quite a lot).
But for the sake of trying, i still tried one of them.



I like their style! More Oreoes that are supposed to taste lika ice cream.
They don't really smell much, maybey a very faint smell of mint,
as is the case with ice cream-flavoured Oreos for some reason.
I think the fact that the cakes have passed their date of expiry has made them loose all taste.
Because, I can't taste anything, except a faint, faint, faint minty taste.
Would be fun to test them when they haven't expired.

Oreo Bluberry Ice Cream

These have been lying in my fridge for a while, time for a tasting.
Upon opening the package there is a distinct blueberry scent and also mint?
What was i getting myself into?

The taste is definently blueberryish, actually like blueberry ice cream.
Really tasty, made me crave ice cream :)
But there is also an minty after taste, i didn't like that. Not at all.
It was weird, blueberrys and mint, like oranges and tooth paste doesn't mix.

Still, they are really great, especially when dipped in milk! Dip them i milk!
Three blueberry ice cream oreos wasn't enough! I'll have to scour the internet for more.
