Oreo Chestnut Crunch

An Oreo chocolate bar with a chestnut flavoring.
That sounds like a sure thing, right?
The bar is pretty small, which is perfect if you just want a small snack.
I have been seeing more and more of these non-cookie versions of Oreo.
And I like it, the more the merrier.

I have always liked the Oreo package color.
And this is no exception. It has that nice blue color.
But, it is also orange and that does not really give me visions of chestnuts.
More of an orange flavoring.
I like oranges, but the package should not give the wrong idea.



It does not smell like chestnuts or chocolate.
But it does have a strong smell of coffee, which is pretty weird considering.
So far we have a package that makes you think of oranges and a smell of coffee.
Will the flavor justify these "errors"?
Well, no. It tastes of coffee too.
And that is actually OK. The coffee flavor is really nice.
But this is supposed to be chestnut flavored, so I am a bit disappointed.

Oreo Mini Chocolate Bars - Strawberry

If you work a lot (and do not have time to update your blogg), you need energy.
And what better way to get energy than with Oreos?
But not the cookie version.
No, this is a chocolate bar version from Japan.

This chocolate bar is stuffed with bits of strawberry, Oreo icing and crushed cookies.
The packaging is very Oreo-ish but with a nice red tone.
It is clean, I like it.
There is a distinct smell of strawberrys.
The smell is very sweet and lovely.



The chocolate itself is a bit more bitter than regular milk chocolate.
I do not know if i like this or not.
But the filling, the filling is nice.
It is very crunchy and sweet.

Oreo Soft Cookies Lemon Ice Cream

I love the fact that someone came up with the idea of combining Oreo cookies and ice cream.
I've written about ice cream Oreos before: Oreo Green Tea Ice Cream.
Those had expired and didn't really taste anything.
Let's see if these taste better shall we?



Oreos generally comes in a hard cookie type but there are also soft cookie versions available.
This is one of the latter, with two soft cookies and lemon ice cream cream in the middle.



The texture of the soft cookies, is of course, more chewy than the hard ones.
They actually smell like lemon ice cream, maybey a bit chemical.
They taste lemony, but not really like lemon ice cream.
It's more like lemon water or something like it.
Still the taste is good, but the aftertaste... Not as good.
It tastes like lemon cough drops and is pretty disgusting.
It also lingers in your mouth (troath) for a long time after you've eaten the cookies.



The packaging is pretty nice, not that special... But still nice.
So, points for scent and just trying a combination of cookies and ice cream, but not for taste.

Oreo Brownies

The manufacturers must have thought:
"Well, Oreos are good and brownies are good, so why not combine them".
And I say, Why not? :)



They smell more like brownies than Oreos.
A very pleasant smell, like all you cookie monsters know.
And they taste so good! Like Oreos, but like brownies and with a cream filling.
Very thick and rich. They are just awesome.

Oreo Peanut Butter Fudge Cremes

A regular Oreo Peanut Butter covered in fudge cream. Sounds like the greatest thing in the world!
There's a pleasant smell of peanut butter and it's just the right size for a small bite to cure your sugar itch.
It's very tasty, with different tastes of sugary goodness combining together.
This is a small bag containing 4 cookies, but they are available in bigger boxes too.
I know they are available in many different flavours, but I have unfortunally only found these.
And they are round, I like round.

Oreos Candy Cane [Limited Edition]

A christmas version of the famous Oreo? Limited Edition? Rad!
Like in many christmas versions, the box is just awesome.
Theres so much christmas going on.
If you look at the cake itself, there's an imprint of a snowflake.
And the cream inside is red and white.
They really put some effort into making this as christmasy as possible.





Smells a lot lika minty candy cane. Like it should, of course.
They taste like you crushed a candy cane between two Oreo cakes.
In other wors, really good. It's nice and crispy too.

Golden Oreo

Golden Oreos are like regular Oreos, but with a light cracker with vanilla flavor. These still has the regular vanilla filling, but I know there is one kind with chocolate filling out there.

They smell alot like Brago crackers (Brago is a cracker from Sweden Link to Wikipedia). And if it wasn't for the vanilla filling, I would, in a blind test, think they where Brago crackers. Because the taste is almost the same.



I like these, they taste great and i don't really like Brago crackers, so that's weird. I also tried to dip them in milk but that didn't do much for the flavor. Still, they're pretty good.

Also, they get a bonus for the pretty obvious "Enlarged to show detail" comment on the packaging (see picture). Made me chuckle.
